A Microcosm
Where I go to explore the ebbs and flows of natures function
To peep at the dances of the fauna that thrive within,
enticing their lovers to come along and form new life
They quiver and iridesce
as if blessed with a sprinkle of light from the stars above
Perfect pearls rise from soft and tender foliage
I sit
I watch
This miniaturised sublime,
encapsulated for me
so that I may find my place within it
Through my tweezers and snips, I play God for a minute
to remind myself that
within my own world
I am not him

That, within my own world
I am as powerlessly relevant as the snails that traverse every inch of these Cryptocoryne swords,
leaving trails that map and bind the world I find myself enthralled in
